In Level 1 – 2 you will learn how to effectively promote the Country Kitchens program.

We introduce the program essentials of food and nutrition literacy including the program’s cornerstone 5 key messages. Every Country Kitchens program activity promotes one or more of these 5 messages.

In Level 1 we cover how to craft your Country Kitchens sales pitch and sharing the Monthly Munch newsletter at your branch or community events.

In Level 2 you will learn how to prepare and run a healthy recipe promotion.

As well, you will be connecting with women who have the power to heal their communities.

Nutrition Promotion Training PATHway

Level 1

We introduce the program essentials of food and nutrition literacy including the program’s cornerstone 5 key messages.

Every Country Kitchens program activity promotes one or more of these 5 messages.

You will become familiar with the Healthy Cooking Guidelines and learn some valuable nutrition basics.

We show you how to craft your Country Kitchens sales pitch so that you can confidently promote the program. And you will learn about the free Monthly Munch newsletter and the most effective ways to promote this informative resource at your branch or community events.

Level 2

In Level 2 you will learn how to run a healthy recipe promotion within your branch and at local community or catering events.

You will learn basic nutrition information from the Australian Dietary Guidelines and Australian Guide to Healthy Eating.

We cover the 5 key messages in greater detail so you will become very familiar with talking about and teaching these.

We will teach you how to use nutrition criteria and develop an understanding of what makes a recipe a healthier choice. You will also learn about general food safety and promoting your event.

After completing Level 2 you will be able to confidently apply and promote the 5 key messages and run a healthy recipe promotion at your branch meeting, catering or community event.
